Scholarships
A student must declare and continue as a theatre major and be in good academic standing to receive a theatre scholarship. The scholarships are reviewed for renewal at the end of each semester. To be selected for a Theatre Scholarship,
students must complete a scholarship application
and an acting audition or submit a technical, design,
stage management and directing portfolio. See the
following documents for detailed information.

Advising
Providing our students with quality advising is a top priority. Upon entering the program in Theatre you will be assigned a Degree Counselor. Currently the Degree Counselor for Communication and Theatre is Amanda Ramirez. Make an appointment with Ms. Ramirez as soon as you have completed your first 30 credit hours. At this appointment you will be given a degree plan that will outline all of the requirements
that you must meet for graduation. In addition, Ms. Ramirez will assign
you an academic advisor. To make an appointment with Ms. Ramirez call
825-3466.
Your academic advisor will be a faculty member in your area of interest. Your academic advisor will discuss scheduling options, appropriate electives/minors, graduate school, career options, and more. Meeting with your academic advisor every semester is strongly recommended.
