Philip Johnson, Professor of Theatre, has been at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi since 1986. His role as scenographer and technician has allowed him diverse work in Theatre, Television, Ballet and Dance. He designs Scenery, Lighting, Makeup, Sound and even Costumes on occasion. He is currently on staff as the Designer and Technical Director at TAMU-CC and teaches courses in Design and Production. Phil believes very much in the production team and strong conceptualization of the design idea. Phil’s most recent project involved children's television. This project was shot in the high definition format and will be released nationally on PBS and DVD. Phil also serves as a Theatre consultant to schools and organizations on projects, architecture and replacement/implementation of Theatre technology.
